When is the best time to schedule my maternity session?
The best time for a maternity session is typically between 28 and 34 weeks. During this time, your bump is beautifully visible while you're still comfortable enough to move, walk, and enjoy the experience. Every pregnancy is different, so if you're unsure, I'd be happy to help you choose the perfect timing.
What should I wear?
I recommend wearing something that makes you feel beautiful, comfortable, and confident. Flowy dresses, neutral tones, and soft textures photograph beautifully, but the most important thing is choosing outfits that feel like you. After booking, I'll send over styling tips and I'm always happy to help you choose the perfect look.
Can my partner or children be included?
Absolutely! Maternity sessions are about celebrating your growing family, and I encourage partners and siblings to be part of the experience. We'll capture a beautiful mix of individual portraits, family moments, and genuine connection throughout the session.
I'm nervous about being photographed while pregnant—can you help?
Of course! Most expecting moms tell me this before their session. My job is to guide you through natural posing, flattering angles, and gentle prompts so you can simply relax and enjoy the experience. My goal is for you to leave feeling confident, beautiful, and excited to see your gallery.
Where do maternity sessions take place?
We'll choose a location together that fits your vision and style. Whether you love open fields, beaches, parks, downtown streets, or somewhere meaningful to your family, I'll help you find the perfect backdrop for your session.
What if it rains?
If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll simply reschedule your session for the next available date that works for both of us. I always keep an eye on the forecast and will reach out ahead of time if we need to adjust our plans.
How long until I receive my gallery?
You'll receive a few sneak peeks shortly after your session, followed by your fully edited online gallery within 2–3 weeks. From there, you'll be able to download your images, share them with loved ones, and order professional-quality prints directly from your gallery.
Do you travel?
Yes! I'm based in Connecticut and photograph maternity sessions throughout the state and surrounding areas. Travel within a reasonable distance is included, and I'm always happy to travel farther for an additional fee. If you have a special location in mind, I'd love to hear about it!
